Ride to the Max 2018

9th  Annual Ride To The Max

August 18-19, 2018

The annual Motorcycle Ride and Fundraiser to The Lion Max Simms Memorial Camp for Special Needs People has become the most successful weekend fundraiser for our Camp. Over $19,000 was raised in 2017 This is the equivalent of sending 80 SPECIAL NEEDS PERSONS TO CAMP FOR A WEEK.

The RIDE TO THE MAX is organized by Lion Motorcyclists of Newfoundland and Labrador but is not restricted to motorcycles only.  It is open to all Lions and their friends whether they ride two wheels or four.

In the past eight Rides we have raised approximately $110,000 to help the Special Needs People that our Camp serves. This year we are aiming for $20,000. Sponsor sheets will be available from all Lions Clubs in District N4 or directly from the contacts listed below. Participants are encouraged to obtain a minimum of $200 in sponsorship. Tax receipts will be issued for $25 and over, if requested.

The District N4 Ride will start at the Gould’s Lions Club with breakfast from 8-9 AM Saturday, August 18, 2018. Participants can join in along the route or meet at the Camp.

After arrival at the Camp, supper will be served and then the fun begins. A Casino night of blackjack, poker, bingo etc will be followed by an Auction, where you can bid on donated items with your casino winnings (chips). All who register will receive chips. You are encouraged to bring along items for the auction.

Accommodations at the Camp will cost $35 per person including meals. Accommodations are limited by our 38 bedrooms ; therefore it is imperative that you notify one of the undersigned of your intention to participate as early as possible. Don’t be disappointed. There is lots of Camper space available.
